All Star Circuit of Champions Return to “The track that action built” in 2010

ImageCamargo, IL (11-23-09) –Today the All Star Circuit of Champions announced it will be visiting  “The track that action built,” once again for the 2010 season. The All Star Circuit of Champions will visit Fremont Speedway four times during the 2010 racing season. The series will visit Fremont Speedway in May, June for Ohio Sprint Speedweek, and twice in September. The All Star Circuit of Champions is proud to have Fremont Speedway apart of its schedule for the upcoming season. “Fremont has a lot of history with the All Stars, and we want that to continue,’’ commented Guy Webb-President of the All Star Circuit of Champions, Inc.

Fremont Speedway has always been a staple on the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions schedule since the series visited the famed Fremont, Ohio. Last season seen with wall to wall racing action with Tim Shaffer visiting victory lane twice, and Danny Smith visiting victory lane on Kear’s Speed Shop night. Over the years Fremont Speedway has built the reputation and the ability to claim to be “The Track that Action Built” due to its high-speed configuration and wheel-to-wheel excitement and that will be no exception for 2010.

All Star Sprint Series

ImageThe All Stars are one of the premier sprint car sanctioning bodies in the USA. It is owned by Illinois businessman, Guy Webb and now in their 28th year of operation, the All Stars take pride in their reputation of providing highly competitive, fair, exciting racing for outlaw sprint cars with many different winners in a year. About 400 drivers participate in All Star races yearly in front of an average of 5,000 spectators per event. Currently 40+ races are scheduled in numerous states, such as Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, Nebraska, West Virginia, and Kansas.
 

Ohio Sprint Speedweek

Image The Silver Anniversary of the Ohio Sprint Speedweek proved to be one of the most competive weeks in racing during the 2007 All Star season. Dale Blaney nearly captured the $50,000 bonus that would be given to anyone who could win four events during the seven nights of racing. However, it was the consistancy of Shane Stewart that captured the Ohio Sprint Speedweek Points Title. Follow all of the action during the 26th Annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek (June 22nd- 28th) here at the home of the All Stars.
