Seven Years Later: O’ Reilly All Stars Returning to East Bay Raceway Park
ImageCamargo, IL (1-29-10) by Kelly Brown – Public Relations Director – It is hard to believe it, but it has been seven years since the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions have raced at East Bay Raceway Park and has been a part of Winter Nationals. The fans of the series will not have to wait much longer as we are less than two weeks away from their historic return to the track by the Bay.

The first time that the All Stars raced in East Bay was in 1984 during the second running of Winter Nationals when Lee Osbourne, Joe Saldana, Bobby Davis Jr. and Sammy Swindell celebrated in Victory lane. The last time the All Stars raced at East Bay was in 2003 when the All Stars ran three nights straight with victories going to: Danny Lasoski, Jeff Shepard, and Craig Dollansky.

The All Stars will be making their landmark return to East Bay on Thursday, February 11th with $3,000 up for grabs, Friday February 12th with $5,000 on the line, and on Saturday February 13 with $7,000 being awarded to the winner. Do not forget that one lucky fan will win $1,000 each night just for attending.
“I am looking forward to the return of the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions to East Bay,” stated East Bay Promoter Dean Miracle during the All Star Banquet. “It has been seven years and the fans have been showing to us how excited they are to have the All Stars back since advance ticket sales are up. This has been very encouraging for everyone involved. It means a lot not only for the track, but for the area around it.”

Ohio Sprint Speedweek

Image The Silver Anniversary of the Ohio Sprint Speedweek proved to be one of the most competive weeks in racing during the 2007 All Star season. Dale Blaney nearly captured the $50,000 bonus that would be given to anyone who could win four events during the seven nights of racing. However, it was the consistancy of Shane Stewart that captured the Ohio Sprint Speedweek Points Title. Follow all of the action during the 26th Annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek (June 22nd- 28th) here at the home of the All Stars.
