Ocala Speedway Falls Victim to the Wet Weather

ImageCamargo, IL (1-30-10) Ocala Speedway falls victim to the wet weather on night 2 of the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions Winter Nationals, forcing officials to cancel the event for the evening (January 30, 2010). No makeup date has been scheduled. Ocala Speedway would like to thank everyone who participated to make this year’s Winter Nationals a success, look forward to a bigger and better 2011.

All Star Sprint Series

ImageThe All Stars are one of the premier sprint car sanctioning bodies in the USA. It is owned by Illinois businessman, Guy Webb and now in their 28th year of operation, the All Stars take pride in their reputation of providing highly competitive, fair, exciting racing for outlaw sprint cars with many different winners in a year. About 400 drivers participate in All Star races yearly in front of an average of 5,000 spectators per event. Currently 40+ races are scheduled in numerous states, such as Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, Nebraska, West Virginia, and Kansas.
 

Ohio Sprint Speedweek

Image The Silver Anniversary of the Ohio Sprint Speedweek proved to be one of the most competive weeks in racing during the 2007 All Star season. Dale Blaney nearly captured the $50,000 bonus that would be given to anyone who could win four events during the seven nights of racing. However, it was the consistancy of Shane Stewart that captured the Ohio Sprint Speedweek Points Title. Follow all of the action during the 26th Annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek (June 22nd- 28th) here at the home of the All Stars.
